Selectron’s SelecTXT solution for utilities offers utility customers a convenient way to manage their accounts simply by sending a text message. Rather than calling or going online to access their account, a customer can retrieve account information by texting a specified phone number. SelecTXT automatically responds with the customer’s existing balance (if any), and offers the ability to make a payment. The customer can also access billing, payment and usage history by texting simple one-letter or one-word commands.
SelecTXT is offered as part of Selectron’s Relay platform, meaning utility administrators can manage this service through the Relay Portal. Here, administrators have access to system monitoring tools and helpful reporting capabilities with an easy-to-use interface accessible on any device with an internet connection.
